2012 ASIS announcements

Altronix showcases the first product in the company's new series of eFlow Power Supplies this week at ASIS. The new eFlow3N offers an extensive complement of intelligent features that operate with security, fire and access control systems. Features include a Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) interface with supervised disconnect, over voltage protection (OVP), and low power shutdown which prevents standby batteries from deep discharge.

Altronix
Altronix showcases the first product in the company's new series of eFlow Power Supplies this week at ASIS. The new eFlow3N offers an extensive complement of intelligent features that operate with security, fire and access control systems. Features include a Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) interface with supervised disconnect, over voltage protection (OVP), and low power shutdown which prevents standby batteries from deep discharge. The unit features one continuous auxiliary power output (unswitched) and one interruptible power output (switched) which is affected by a trigger input that provides 12VDC or 24VDC at 2 amps. eFlow3N is UL-listed.

American Fibertek
American Fibertek(AFI) has debuted two new software releases that improve video management and control activities in time for ASIS 2012. Pilot v.5 Video Management Software delivers advanced system functionality and broader industry compatibility while the newly developed AFI-2089 Virtual Keyboard does all the heavy lifting of the American Dynamics' physical keyboard at half the price and none of the weight.

New compatibility features of the Pilot v.5 software include the complete line of Panasonic cameras and DVRs, Samsung's complete camera and DVR line, the full line of Arecont Vision cameras and full integration with Pelco's Endura lineup. Pilot v.5 is also enhanced to now include full Keyscan access control integration and POS workstations integration.

Arecont Vision
Arecont Vision announced the latest addition to their award-winning IP megapixel camera lineup – the new MegaBall series. Introduced at ASIS 2012, MegaBall comes in a spherically shaped all-in-one camera form factor, and provides a wide variety of configuration options to give security professionals the installation flexibility to meet the exacting needs of their customers.

The MegaBall camera series comes with a dual encoder H.264/MJPEG and is available in several resolutions, including 1.3, 1080p, 3 and 5 megapixels. The compact, attractive cameras have flexible installation options, including bracket or dome configurations, a choice of varifocal or fixed focal lens and color or day/night functionality.

Dortronics Systems
Dortronics Systems showcases its 5278 Series of proximity-activated switches this week at ASIS. The touchless switches incorporate industry-leading functionality and design to help users maintain a sanitary environment. Optical infrared technology allows a simple wave of the hand to activate this economical solution for touchless ingress/egress.

The 5278 is engineered with an imbedded optical sensor that picks up motion within a four inch (4”) range of the face plate. If inadvertently touched, the sensor will pick up the motion before actual contact, resulting in normal operation. The switch also features an illuminated LED ring that designates switch status and allows for clear visibility under low light conditions.

Dvtel
Dvtel announced that Dvtel 's Quasar line of IP cameras is now integrated with the Exacq Technologies exacqVision VMS. The two leading products' ONVIF-based integration provides the customers of both companies more open system options and features.

Exacq customers can now take advantage of the advanced features of the Dvtel Quasar cameras and obtain the highest video quality paired with reduced bandwidth, dramatic storage savings and lowest cost of ownership. Dvtel 's Quasar cameras are ONVIF-compliant, which enables them to be used with a wide range of other manufacturer's systems. The Exacq software platform provides a high level of integration with Quasar, including support for live viewing, recording, discovery, outputs, motion-detection based events and more.

Interlogix
Interlogix releases its new high-resolution analog cameras as well as TruVision Mobile, a new remote video management application.TruVision Mobile, designed and optimized for tablet users, includes a feature-rich interface for both the TruVision DVR 30 and DVR 31 and will be the foundation for a common mobile experience for all TruVision recording platforms. A free, easy-to-use app, TruVision Mobile allows users to view real-time video and control PTZ cameras from their iPhone and iPad.

Mobotix
The MOBOTIX Q24M-Sec hemispheric camera, which can capture an entire room with no blind spots, has now even more to offer with the new integrated MxAnalytics video analysis tool. MxAnalytics is an efficient tool for process optimization or marketing purposes and can be used in small retail stores as well as in public buildings such as museums or airports in order to receive important information.

MxAnalytics makes it possible to reliably capture and evaluate the movement of people or objects in the live image. The most frequented areas are highlighted in color on a heat map in a predefined area. The areas with the most movement are displayed in red, and those with little movement in blue. Another highlight: The results of the video motion analysis can be saved as daily, weekly or monthly reports in a table and exported via various interfaces.

Morse Watchmans
Morse Watchmans features the innovative KeyWatcher Illuminated key control and asset management solution at ASIS 2012, highlighting the ability to ensure keys, credit cards and other valuable items are easily accessible to authorized users – and secure and accounted for when not in use.

The industry-leading KeyWatcher Illuminated system addresses all security issues related to key management and control and keeps keys and other items stored safely in a tamper-resistant key cabinet. Each system transaction is recorded, and an audit trail confirms who accessed the systems and when.

Next Level Security Systems
Next Level Security Systems announced the availability of NLSS Cloud Services, which offers users remote access and multi-site security management from anywhere in the world.

NLSS Cloud Services are available for use with the entire suite of NLSS Gateway technologies. Powered by NextConnect, a patent-pending peer-to-peer technology that efficiently streams live video to an unlimited number of users from a single site, NLSS Cloud Services delivers access to the NLSS Gateway's features through any Web browser or mobile device. Users can access camera settings, live surveillance video and door controls, and even view video streams from up to four different sites simultaneously on a single screen. In addition, software can be updated remotely, eliminating the need for on-site support.

OnSSI
OnSSI showcases the newest version of its flagship Ocularis surveillance and security platform at ASIS 2012, highlighting new features such as automatic online camera licensing and streamlined, more granular, management of user rights.

The new Version 3.5 of Ocularis reflects a renewed and expanded emphasis on system-wide administration and optimized hardware utilization. Automatic camera licensing enables a system administrator to connect and replace cameras – which are immediately fully operational – whenever convenient. A new 30-day grace period enables system administrators to license new cameras in batches once a month.

Quantum Secure
Quantum Secure adds new portability and accessibility to its SAFE enterprise identity and physical access management software suite with a new highly intuitive SAFE App for Mobile Devices. The new app, available on any iPad, Android tablet, iPhone or other smart phone, enables users to review, approve and/or deny physical access requests from inside a facility or remotely. The SAFE App for Mobile Devices also speeds up the pre-registration process for visitors by providing an intuitive self-service interface to the hosts on their mobile devices, avoids unnecessary delays and allows visitors to check-in using an iPad or other tablet computer as a kiosk, making it fast and easy for visitors to register themselves upon arrival.

Samsung Techwin
Samsung Techwin America, a global supplier of video surveillance and security products combining superior performance and value, is debuting two new DVRs here at ASIS 2012. The SRD-1640 16 channel and SRD-840 eight channel stand-alone DVRs feature high quality CIF recording in real time, across all channels as well as the latest technology for web access and remote monitoring. Offered at an attractive price point, the DVRs are the perfect recording solution for smaller scale applications such as retail and convenience stores or offices.

SightLogix
SightLogix demonstrates the automated outdoor thermal video analytics system, spotlighting the solution's superior performance around waterside applications such as bridges and ports, making affordable security available for a broader range of customers. The company will also demonstrate a new integration between the SightTracker auto-steering PTZ controller and Pelco PTZ cameras.
