Sunell insists on technology innovation, strict quality control, and provides excellent customer service on the principle of sincerity, reliability and customeroriented approach. “Sunell has won the customers' confidence,” said Steven Liu, President at Sunell. Today, Sunell is represented as a high-end brand in China security and surveillance industry.

According to Liu, the very foundation to back up the company is “everything starts with people.” This is also the way to keep the company stay ahead in the industry as well as being competitive in overseas market. This concept gives all employees the right path to follow — considering truly for customers, being grateful for colleagues and contributing yourself for a better harmonious society.

Moreover, Liu mentioned that Sunell not only teaches employees the right attitude on work, but also reminding them you are your biggest enemy. “Excelling ourselves is the way to reach customer's satisfaction. And this is our core value and the reason we exist,” said Liu.

Passion & Training with Positive Attitude
Sunell expects to win its market not only through stable products' performance but also more people, dedicating their devotion to overseas service.

Besides, Sunell has in-depth training courses for everyone as Ann Wu, Vice President at Sunell wants the sales team to not just so-called ‘knock on door' pushing products. Training, she said, is crucial in differentiating Sunell from its competitors. In Wu's mind, with a positive attitude, sales people can attain technical knowledge even without majoring in electronicrelated majors.

Wu wants her team to be able to solve customer problems on the first try; that requires both communication and technical expertise. “Every day one person has a short topic in which they practice spoken English to improve themselves,” said Michael Archer, Product Manager at Sunell.

Proper training helps to inspire every member of the team to commit. Giving a clear view of career development is the key. Wu finds mentoring the younger generation extremely gratifying. Sharing is another important factor. “Everyone knows that no one person can know everything. Exchanging opinions to find the best approach keeps the team moving forward.”

Corporate Culture
Sunell's corporate culture differs from other companies as it incorporates Chinese heritage. Apart from informative training Sunell also provide employees with training which can be put into daily life which aids them to better understand clients. Teachings from Confucius integrated with modern day management is something rarely seen in companies today. “The company's core values and views demonstrate to us how more understanding and a positive attitude can help us face any obstacles,” said Ala Law, Sales Manager. “Sunell differs from other companies with its extensive training courses and distinctive corporate culture, which creates a sense of belonging for employees,” said Nicky Gao, Sales and Marketing Manager at Sunell.

As the only foreign employee in Sunell, Archer notices the difference in cultures between the east and the west. “Many British and of course western company cultures are totally different, the spirit of working close, and with more honorable way are more to my line of thinking” and “a great many companies which I visit and know have a strong cultural and religious mentality which brings and offers a more harmonious working condition.”

Team Spirit
When speaking to Sunell's employees, one particular aspect is always emphasized, which is team spirit. According to Alec Liu, Sales and Marketing Manager at Sunell, the team are like “a happy family.” In such a positive environment it can be seen that employees are content and “evolving in such a happy environment with no apprehended thoughts and with good guidance I have completely settled into the team.”

Having been with the company since October 2009, Archer has over a decade of experience as a programmer and was an IT manager working with several large development teams. “My previous work as a technical director of a CCTV company came to an end, and was in China during this time. Wishing to remain in China I was offered the title as product manager for the international department of Sunell.”

“Experience alone of course does not mean much, you still need to be part of a team, and have the team spirit,” said Archer. His role as Product Manager is “to be sure our department has the best set of tools in which we can provide and promote Sunell to the world.”
