Tamron Awarded With 18-200mm High-power Zoom Lens

Tamron, a leading manufacturer of optical equipment, announced that 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011), a high-power zoom lens for the E-mount of Sony mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera series, has won the Digital Camera Grand-Prix 2012 Summer Grand Gold Award (Interchangeable Lens for DSLR).

This is the second time for a Tamron lens to win the Grand Gold Award (Interchangeable Lens for DSLR), following on from the 18-270mm Di II VC PZD (Model B008), a high-power 15x zoom lens for digital SLR cameras with APS-C equivalent sensors, which won the award when it was held for the first time last summer.

This means that Tamron has won the Grand Gold Award (Interchangeable Lens for DSLR) twice out of the three times it has been awarded.
