- EBIT: €9.5 million

Mobotix AG, a supplier of high-resolution, network-based video security systems, announces the Group's key figures in accordance with IFRS for the first half of fiscal year 2011/12 (October 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012) ahead of time.

In the current fiscal year 2011/12 the Mobotix Group recorded a strong second quarter with revenue growth of 17 percent compared to the prior year. Revenue growth for the first half of fiscal year 2011/12 amounted to 11 percent. With EBIT of €9.5 million (prior year: €8.5 million) the Group achieved an EBIT margin of 23 percent. Net income after tax grew by 16 percent to €6.7 million.

Revenue increases were seen primarily in Germany (+17 percent) and countries outside Europe (+23 percent), indicating a structural growth problem in certain European markets. Consequently, growth expectations for the full fiscal year need to be adjusted to growth of 15 percent to 20 percent and an EBIT margin of around 23 percent.

In the medium term, Mobotix expects continuing strong growth and high profitability in response to the enhancement of its sales and distribution organization outside of Europe and new products in the areas of video surveillance and door communication systems that will be launched to the market in short time. This past week, key product innovations such as the world's first flexible double-hemispheric camera (S14) were presented to a wide range of industry experts on the Light + Building trade fair in Frankfurt, where they met with a high level of interest.
