Joe Grillo, Board of Directors
ECKey announced the appointment of security industry veteran, Joe Grillo, to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Grillo has extensive leadership experience building successful access control companies including President and CEO of Assa Abloy's Global Technology Division and President of HID Corporation. Joe also served as the President of the Security Industry Association.
Thomas R. Cook, VP of Sales for North America
Samsung Techwin America announces the appointment of Thomas R. Cook as VP, Sales, North America. He will report to Frank De Fina, Samsung's Senior VP of Sales and Marketing, North America.
“Tom is a pragmatic leader whose focus is on end-user development, and his skills and industry knowledge and well-earned reputation in the market are great new resources for Samsung.” Prior to joining Samsung, Mr. Cook held several key management roles in the industry most recently at VICON where he served as Director of Sales, said Mr. De Fina.
Matthias Rebellius, President of Building Technologies (BT) Division of the Infrastructure & Cities Sector in the United States
Siemens announced that it has appointed Matthias Rebellius to lead the company's Building Technologies (BT) Division of the Infrastructure & Cities Sector in the United States, effective June 1, 2012. As President, Rebellius will be responsible for the financial, operational and competitive success of Siemens' U.S.-based building automation, fire safety, security and energy efficiency systems and solutions provider. Rebellius will succeed Andreas Schierenbeck who has chosen to leave the company to pursue other opportunities.

Arecont Vision continues to grow and strengthen its presence in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region with the addition of two new field application engineers and the promotion of two managers to new positions and territories within the region.
Alex Cao joins Arecont Vision as Field Application Engineer/Solutions Manager in China. Prior to joining Arecont Vision, Mr. Cao worked as a pre-sales technician and team leader for security and surveillance company Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co.
Also joining Arecont Vision is William Ho. As the new Field Application Manager for Southeast Asia and India, Mr. Ho brings a wealth of industry experience to the position including video surveillance, fiber optics, access control and building automation systems.
Arecont Vision's East China Regional Sales Manager, Tao Ye has been promoted to Business Development Manager for China. In his new role, Mr. Tao is tasked with the positioning of Arecont Vision products as critical components that provide greater functionality and lower overall system cost. He has more than 10 years of experience in the security industry including five years related to megapixel technology.
Kelvin Peh, Southeast Asia Business Development Manager for Arecont Vision has had his territory extended to now include India, starting in 2012. He joined the company in August of 2011 and since that time has successfully helped to drive sales and develop new channel partners in the region for Arecont Vision. Mr. Peh's career in IT/electronic sales spans more than 20 years and most recently he served as Pelco's regional sales manager for Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam and Mongolia.
