Longgang Hospital is located in Universiade New Town, Longgang District, Shenzhen, China. The hospital required a stable, reliable, real-time networked monitoring system, which needed to include the routine medical monitoring system of the outpatient building and the monitoring and surveillance system of patients in the hospital wards. A network digital monitoring system has been used, with user-friendliness being the main consideration, to create a safe, reliable, high-definition and intelligent video monitoring system. The system also satisfied the hospital's high standards regarding security technology requirements at the same time.

The system mainly monitors the office space, elevator hall, main entrances, conference room, corridors, parking lot and wards. 181 monitoring points have been deployed, with different camera models selected for each monitoring area based on functional requirements: network cameras used for the management of daily medical work, entrances and fire exits, Parking lot, and video server combined with analog cameras.

Axis network cameras transmit digital videos directly through the IP network (LAN, intranet, internet). With sufficient bandwidth, users can monitor HD surveillance videos with resolution of 720p or higher anywhere, anytime on any computer connected to the Internet, thus realizing a visualized management system and increasing system diversity. At the same time, the system is highly scalable and is capable of meeting the growing needs of the hospital. By appending new load balancing video servers or new network cameras, the system can be flexibly expanded to meet new needs.
