Lumidigm, the multi-imaging biometric identity management company, announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Lumidigm Board member Mark Shermetaro as CEO. Lumidigm Co-founder, Chairman and CEO Bob Harbour will stay on as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective February 1.

Shermetaro comes to Lumidigm from his position as VP of Business Development at Methode Electronics, where he was responsible for leading corporate M&A activity. Shermetaro served on the Lumidigm Board of Directors for two years.

Alan Simone, Jacksonville-area GM
Protection 1, the second-largest electronic security company in the United States, announced that Alan Simone has been named their Jacksonville-area GM. Simone, a 15-year industry veteran, joined Protection 1 as a sales manager in Orlando last year.

“Simone brings to Protection 1 a broad understanding of our industry. He has years of experience in the electronic security market and has held positions of regional sales responsibility managing teams in Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee,” said Protection 1 District Manager Steve Bullock. “Simone brings to the table an understanding of the sales process, the importance of getting in front of the right decision makers, and how to motivate and educate sales representatives. He is the right person to position this market for explosive growth.”

Julian Inman, EMEA Sales and Technical Support Engineer
Exacq Technologies added to their EMEA sales and support team with the appointment of Julian Inman. Beginning immediately, Inman will serve as EMEA Sales and Technical Support Engineer. In addition to providing engineering and field support to the growing international demand for exacqVision video management system solutions, he will also allow the company to expand its technical support reach in the region by supplementing the efforts of the corporate offices in the United States.

Julian previously held a senior position with a leading CCTV manufacturer based in the United Kingdom, where he served as Group Training Manager, being responsible for product and technology training on local and network video recording and redisplay systems using both analogue and IP technology.
