With 25 years' experience in video surveillance sales and business development for companies such as Hymatom, Dedicated Micros, Arecont Vision and IndigoVision, Gongora's mandate is to expand the market for ImmerVision lenses and immersive viewing functionality throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
ImmerVision's video surveillance application business unit is encouraging major camera and software manufacturers to adopt and integrate ImmerVision lenses into proprietary products. Initially, Gongora will be promoting the ImmerVision lens to meet the needs of banks, airports, government facilities, educational institutions and other high-security markets. Ultimately, Gongora's goal is to support the growth of ImmerVision's panomorph technology and promote it to all sectors of the video surveillance industry.

UTC Fire & Security has announced changes to its senior leadership team. Mark Barry has been appointed President, Global Fire Products, succeeding Scott Buckhout, who was appointed President, UTC Fire & Security. Kelly Romano will succeed Barry as President, Global Security Products; both appointments effective immediately. UTC Fire & Security is a unit of United Technologies.
Barry joined UTC in 2010 through the acquisition of GE Security and drove strong results in his previous position as President, Global Security Products. Barry has spent more than 20 years in the security and life safety industry, including senior leadership positions at Tyco, ADT and most recently at GE Security.
Romano most recently served as UTC's Senior VP, Sales and Marketing. She joined UTC in 2010 from Carrier, where she held various senior leadership positions including President, Building Systems & Services and President, Carrier Distribution Americas. Romano brings more than 27 years of UTC experience to her new role, including expertise in general management, business development, customer relations and marketing.

Vicon Industries, a designer and producer of video security and surveillance systems, announced that the Board of Directors expanded the board to six members from the current five and appointed Julian Tiedemann as a director to fill the resulting vacancy.
Tiedemann, is the Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer of The Inter Tech Group, a holding company and operator of a diverse global group of companies. Tiedemann has previously served on the board of directors of Hudson's Bay Company, a multibillion dollar Canadian national retailer.
