Stanley Convergent Security Solutions (Stanley CSS), part of Stanley Black & Decker, purchased Smiths Security Services, Raysil Security Systems and SRP Security Systems located in Oxfordshire, Surrey and Buckinghamshire respectively from Verifier Capital (the U.K.), a subsidiary of Verifier Capital Holdings,. The purchase of Smiths, Raysil and SRP includes the operations of each business with expertise in installing, servicing, inspecting, maintaining and monitoring intrusion alarms, fire alarms, access control and video surveillance systems. The acquisition of these businesses includes mostly commercial accounts including top universities, telecommunications, financial, health care and retail customers throughout the U.K.

For Stanley CSS, the acquisition is part of a planned dynamic growth strategy in the U.K. During 2010 alone, Stanley CSS completed and launched its first UK SSAIB-certified Customer Service Center (among the largest data and monitoring central stations in the U.K., with capacity to monitor more than 50,000 customers) and recruited two regionally based sales teams as part of an organic growth initiative. The acquisition of the three security companies continues this expansion plan, bringing some 5,500 new customers into the company, along with a talented team of committed staff.
