Asia's largest showcase dedicated to pro Audio Visual technology is back. InfoComm Asia 2010, scheduled for  November 17-19 in Hong Kong, will once again offer invaluable opportunities for professional end users of AV systems as well as channel distributors and systems integrators to learn the latest in AV technologies.

With some 320 AV manufacturers from 27 countries presenting their newest products and services, and leading experts sharing their AV knowledge and perspectives, visitors to InfoComm Asia 2010 will be able to source the widest range of AV products, find out how AV technology can benefit their work, and make contact with key personnel from international and Asian brands knowledgeable about the needs of the Asian marketplace.

AV applications which will be featured at InfoComm Asia 2010 include command & control systems set-up e.g. video walls with multiple screens and console furnishings, for ERC, transport or facility management and 24/7 critical mission operations; state-of-the-art videoconferencing with telepresence technology for corporate meetings or education and training purposes; digital signage hardware and software complete with content preparation, editing and dissemination capabilities, for retail, hospitality or corporate environments; instructional aids such as electronic boards and visualizers for schools and institutions of learning; presentation tools e.g. projectors and screens; and high-end display as well as lighting and audio systems for use in entertainment, public or commercial space.

Exhibiting companies range from global brands as well as emerging Asian manufacturers, with many showcasing their latest products for the first time in Asia. In addition to well known exhibitors like AMX, beyerdynamic, Crestron, Christie Digital, Da-Lite, Danish Interpretation Systems, Digital Projection, dnp denmark, Draper, Extron, Jupiter Systems, Kramer, Lighthouse Technologies, projectiondesign, Sennheiser, Stewart Filmscreen, Vtron and Wolfvision, some 60 new exhibitors will make their first appearance in InfoComm Asia this November. These include BrightSign, CES Audio, Coolux China, GestureTek, IML Asia, Lightware Visual Engineering, Meyer Sound Laboratories, Oray, ONELAN China, Vation China, Verrex Corporation and ZTE.

InfoComm Asia 2010 will also feature a Summit program for visitors to gain a deeper understanding of AV technologies. There are several components in the Summit program, catering to personnel with differing levels of AV involvement. The Industry Conferences will discuss specific applications and general market trends, with topics that would interest several vertical market sectors e.g. Building and Facility Management, Retail, Advertising and Digital Media, Corporate, Entertainment, Transportation and Command and Control, Hospitality and Government. For audio technicians, engineers, Rental & Staging consultants and systems integrators, the two-day SynAudCon Workshop on Professional Sound System Design would prove useful. Participants will learn the most critical elements of the design process in this first-in-Asia workshop, enabling them to gain greater confidence in the systems they design. A behind-the-scenes appreciation of AV applications is provided in the Technical Site Visit. This takes delegates to the ALiVE exhibition at the Hong Kong Science Park. An acronym for Applied Laboratory for Interactive Visualization and Embodiment, the ALiVE exhibition offers a unique occasion to experience nine spectacular immersive environments at the frontiers of art and science. It features ground-breaking innovations in panoramic 3D cinema, embodied architecture, games and animation, digital humanities, distributed media, interactive visualization and simulation.

For greater insights into new products and technologies, visitors can attend the Manufacturers' Presentations where they will have an opportunity to engage with the manufacturers on product features, benefits, and installation technicalities. Specialty AV areas such as 3-D projection, green AV design, distributed audio systems, and AV/IT transition will also be covered in the InfoComm Academy Seminars, led by industry experts in the respective fields.

Admission to the exhibition, and most programs in the Summit, is free. InfoComm Asia is open to trade and professional end-users only. Registration is required. To register, or find out more, please visit www.infocomm-asia.com.
