Glass gates from Integrated Design Ltd (IDL) has been installed in Macedonia to secure the new manufacturing facility of a large global corporation.

The product designs and the advanced intelligence of the IR detection system made the product stand out from the competitors.

“Having used the model in our North American premises, we knew where to look when we needed a system for our new Macedonian plant. This time the glass gate was the ideal choice as the optical technology combined with the tall glass barriers offered the level of security and fast throughput that we required,” said a Security Manager.

The glass gate uses glass barriers of up to 1.8 meters in height, in conjunction with optical technology to provide a high throughput security gate. The bidirectional glass barriers are designed to work in a “normally closed” mode and open after a valid card has been presented to allow the authorized user to pass. The barriers move away from the user in a familiar “door-like” motion, which is intuitive to use, ensuring quick acceptance. In the event of other authorized users trying to use the lane the barrier will stay open, even if they are walking in the opposite direction. The barriers will close quickly behind the authorized person to deter tailgaters.
