PSIA Releases Video Analytics Draft Specification

The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA), a consortium of physical security providers focused on promoting the interoperability of IP-enabled devices, released its 0.9 video analytics draft specification for public comment.

The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA), a consortium of physical security providers focused on promoting the interoperability of IP-enabled devices, released its 0.9 video analytics draft specification for public comment.

The specification defines a standard way to receive, store and use analytic output. The open interface addresses event output including security, counting and health alerts and object streaming metadata output. It also addresses foundational analytic output associated with tracked objects as well as classification, bounding box data and velocities and color.
