ObjectVideo Expands Channel into Asian Market

Intelligent devices are becoming more common, with component suppliers now offering embedded hardware. A recent collaboration between Stretch and IntelliVision illustrates the benefits of smart security equipment.

ObjectVideo, a supplier of intelligent video, announced it is growing its active presence in the Asian market, and will significantly increase its role supporting partners with their intelligent security, business intelligence and green building management solutions. In addition to ongoing support of its OEMs' intelligent offerings, ObjectVideo is taking a strong solution-oriented approach to make these offerings more widely accessible to end users in Asia, addressing a clear need for localized solutions and regional support.

ObjectVideo's Asia business has witnessed strong growth over the last two years, and the region represents even greater opportunities for the next few years to come. “It's time to ensure end users are made better aware of the great variety of ObjectVideo-enabled products our OEMs bring to market that have become valuable components of new and existing surveillance solutions,” said Michael Shen, Director for Asia/Pacific, ObjectVideo.

Central to ObjectVideo's expanded presence in the region is a solution-oriented approach that enables solution providers to more easily incorporate ObjectVideo technology into the video surveillance systems they specify and deploy for their customers. ObjectVideo is currently engaging with solution providers in the region who have a strong local and regional knowledge of their chosen markets, possess the technical ability to deliver analytics technology as part of a flexible, open system, and can deliver knowledgeable and timely support for their solutions.

“Our goal is to make our OEMs' products more readily available to the end user, so we are working more closely with key solution providers to include these products in opportunities they are working within their respective regions,” said David McGuinness, CEO of ObjectVideo.

ObjectVideo participated with several of its key partners in the Global Digital Surveillance Forums (GDSF) China 2010, held this month in Beijing and the rapidly-growing central city of Chengdu. GDSF is organized by Messe Frankfurt/New Era Business Media, and is one of the most influential series of conferences and exhibitions in the security technology industry.
