SimonsVoss optimizes its locking system MobileKey for small and medium-sized enterprises
SimonsVoss has further optimized its locking system for small and medium-sized enterprises – with a new version of the web app and an online extension. MobileKey is designed for up to 20 doors and 100 users. The solution is easy to install, is cost effective in terms of acquisition, and costs nothing to administer – and it is available in the timelessly elegant SimonsVoss design that adapts to any environment. With this, MobileKey is opening up the world of keyless locking with several functionalities to smaller and medium-sized companies as well as to private users: Opening and locking with the electronic remote control and the replacement of classic mechanical locking is now possible with MobileKey by SimonsVoss for every building door in a practical and cost-effective manner.

The traditional key will make way for the comfortable digital transponder, a PIN code keypad or a smart phone – and instead of mechanical cylinders, there are now electronic cylinders. The freely rotating digital double knob cylinder – MobileKey is suitable for interior as well as exterior areas, and is equipped with an access control function for time schedules and a logging function of all accesses. The integrated button cells last for 300,000 opening and locking operations. Installation is extremely simple, wireless and without any drilling – anyone can do it with ease and without the use of any special tools, even when refitting.

The extremely easy-to-use locking system is configured with the aid of a free web app. If a transponder is lost, you can simply block it and activate a new one – the tedious problem of having to exchange locks in the mechanical world is no longer an issue with MobileKey. This saves hassle and money.

Simple administration via web app
The user can configure and set up their MobileKey locking key system on all conceivable Internet-capable devices. All the user has to do is to download the free app to their tablet, smart phone or computer (Mac or PC): On the intuitive user interface, the user can configure who has access to which doors and at which time, in just a few clicks. In the current version, SimonsVoss has further optimised the user interface and operation – the integration of the PIN code keypad MobileKey and programming capability via Android app are further new functions.

Authorisations granted by means of the web app are stored on the SimonsVoss server – and a meticulous log, that can be called by the user at all times, is generated documenting who has entered which rooms and when.

Letting the handy man in via app
With the basic version of MobileKey, authorisation data is transferred to the transponder and the individual locking components with the aid of a programming device. The new online extension of the MobileKey system connects networked locking components directly with the server via a SmartBridge System equipment and authorisation changes will be implemented almost in real time as a result. This version also enables doors to be opened remotely – granting access to a colleague for instance.

For special sort-term authorisation, there is the function Key4Friends: With this function, you can send a temporary access code to friends, relatives or workmen – straight to the smart phone of the recipient of the authorisation (Android or iOS). The recipient in turn merely has to download the app to be able to receive and use the code. This way, access can be granted for up to three weeks.

Door monitoring and SmartRelay
A further comfortable feature of the online extension of MobileKey is the optional door monitoring function of the cylinder. It reports in realtime the current state of every individual door: Is it open? Is it closed, locked, once or twice? For this purpose, the cylinder is equipped with intelligent sensors that permanently monitor each door and register each and every change. With SmartRelay, garages or roll-up doors can be integrated in MobileKey.
