Product Specifications
MegaDome uses high resolution combined with PTZ movement. Issues like autofocus and backlight management of images from a moving camera, along mechanical and electrical issues, have been overcome to merge megapixel resolution video with fast and accurate PTZ movement.
The Nettuno MegaDome is a megapixel PTZ dome which applies MPEG-4 video compression on high resolution video, with two-megapixel resolution for 1,600 by 1,200 pixels. The dome delivers high quality video at up to 15 frames per second, as MPEG-4 compression allows savings in bandwidth and storage requirements. Compression of high resolution video is 10 to 20 times more effective (depending on the monitored scene) than standard megapixel compression technologies, which are JPEG-based.
