With BVMS all the cameras, no matter where they are recording behave the same to an operator. Their set-up and configuration can be carried out from any location, and this is facilitated by automatic discovery and assignment of IP addresses.
With the update to version 4.0, BVMS now enables the central monitoring and operation of multiple sites over low bandwidth. This is configurable per user group, determining what the central monitoring site can see from sub-systems – an important consideration for legally separate entities.
Operators will also benefit from the introduction of access via mobile devices. The system now supports live viewing and playback on mobile clients, including permissions from the BVMS.
BVMS is now open to 3rd party cameras that support the ONVIF standard. This conforms to the proven concept of supporting a wide range of technologies, from analog Allegiant matrix systems right up to the latest HD and Intelligent Video Analysis techniques.
