The Nova Series is our next generation servers, encompassing 6G SAS technology which enables higher bandwidth than traditional SATA–based servers. The higher the bandwidth the more cameras per server at higher resolutions. As part of the Nova Series of IP Video Servers, the BCD4540V -- code-named “Big Bertha” -- incorporates all BCDVideo standard features; 6G SAS IP video storage, Solid State Drives (SSD) for the Operating System and customer's choice of Video Management System, Fault Redundant Architecture, and System Scalability.
The system architecture allows us to scale up 180TB of raw storage for our largest Video Management Software partners. The initial response from integrators servicing casinos, citywide surveillance, and government accounts has been quite enthusiastic
