John Wu, Vice President of HUNT takes time to sit down with a&s to talk about new products they are featuring at this year's secutech. As technologies continue to advance across the security industry, Taiwan's HUNT has featured H.265 as one of their main focuses. Capable of reducing bandwidth by up to 50 percent, the enhanced compression technology allows for smaller files to be saved on hard drives. For more important areas of footage, the feature Region of Interest (ROI) can optimize the video by enhancing image quality, which focuses on bandwidth on essential details. Another product that HUNT has released is their Central Management System, which can support up to 108 channels.

Wu commented on the market in China, and how their services have allowed the company to thrive. “In China, if the client’s order doesn’t reach a certain amount, many companies will neglect to accept the order. However with HUNT, we are always on standby and will accept any order no matter the quantity,” Wu said.

To stay away from price competition, HUNT’s products are targeted for the mid- to high-end sector, where quality and reliability is more important than the price.
