The region has 46 manufacturing sites, which hold as a key hub for Panasonic’s global production activities supporting the consumer, solutions and components and device business.

The growth of the Singapore security industry has slowed down in the past two years due to the economy. Despite this, the government has continued their investment in transport and public safety, with more government projects rolling out, with Panasonic’s leading edge technology and highest reliability well accepted by the projects. “Those project are generally consist from transport, airport upgrading, city surveillance, government installation, and public housing,” said Masami Eguchi, GM of APAC at Panasonic System Communications. “Some of the large size commercial customers who have been trying to improve their productivity and level of security have also come to us and deployed valued solution which none of the others can provide,” he added.

In view of terrorism in recent years, the Singapore government has invested more heavily in security systems with a higher and faster growth rate in the government sector. Most of the commercial installations are still based on basic requirements and go not have a bigger purchasing power than the government, Eguchi explained.
