“The security industry in Singapore is growing fast lately. The infrastructure of the city is altering innovatively and effectively. In recent years, there are a number of industrial large projects in action; from both the commercial and government sector, from transportation to entertainment and resort campus vertical,” said Kenneth Tsang, Director of R&D and Technical Services, Video & Situation Intelligent Solutions at Verint Systems.

Singapore, one of the most highly profiled countries recognized as the center of international finance in APAC, continues to take steps to maintain the countries safety by employing safe city. “It is certain that Singapore would like to help municipalities and law enforcement agencies predict, assess, and warn about potential upcoming crimes, terrorism or other dangerous situations,” Tsang explained.

For safe city to reach its full potential, Tsang explains there will be a need to apply intelligent detection, real-time situation monitoring, and strategic analysis to help the city collect and analyze information faster, manage and respond to situations efficiently, and keep their citizens safe.
