Infinova puts on city surveillance and traffic management meet in Bangalore

On July 24, 2015, Infinova organized the City Surveillance and Traffic Management Meet in Bangalore, India. The event was organized with an objective to reach out to the stakeholders of the city infrastructure development and understand their challenges, suggestions, and growth strategy and also educate the visitors with the Infinova solution portfolio which is capable to tackle surveillance needs for any city.

The visitor turnout was impressive. The event was initiated by the lighting of the lamp followed by an extempore by one of the Bangalore police officials. The gathering was then addressed by Milind Borkar, VP of Sales for India, Middle East, and Africa at Infinova.

The event then moved on with B.V. Anand from Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises, discussing the existing and future planning of the city infrastructure and his experience in the field of township planning. Following his speech, a panel discussion was organized which discussed on challenges in city surveillance environment. The key topics of the discussion were:

  • Integration between technology systems
  • Video analytics and its importance and impact
  • Face recognition systems
  • LPR systems
  • Video surveillance trends

The panelists were:

The panel discussion was moderated and summarized later by Kumar who provided the overview on the possible solution to overcome the challenges discussed during the panel.

The event closed with speech by Sumeet Chanana,Regional Sales Manager for North India at Infinova. He focused on the Infinova product portfolio and Infinova solution offering to overcome most of the challenges which were discussed during the panel discussion.
