As the 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off in Brazil and with hundreds of millions of spectators cheering on their national teams, ASSA ABLOY products and solutions are already making their mark on the tournament.
The solid reputation of local brand La Fonte has helped make ASSA ABLOY security solutions at sports centers and stadiums throughout Brazil. And a vast range of products under Group brands Abloy, ASSA ABLOY and TESA are improving security at six of the 12 World Cup venues as the month-long, 32-team tournament gets underway.
ASSA ABLOY products and solutions have been installed at World Cup stadiums in Brasilia, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Natal and Recife, as well as at the legendary Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, which will host the World Cup final on July 13.
Back in 2012, the ASSA ABLOY Brazil team began presenting and selling the benefits of ASSA ABLOY solutions and worked with architects on product specification.
