Yoda Communications

With over two decades of experience in design technology and manufacturing experience in Telecom and Broadband networks, Yoda Communications’ company strategy revolves around two main focus: speed and stable power over ethernet, shared Long Chang, VP of Sales for Yoda Communications.

Recognizing the growing popularity of USB-C as a universal charging and data transfer standard, particularly in the EU, Yoda Communications offers a range of compatible products. Their IEEE 802.3bt PoE to USB-C Gigabit data and charging adapter leverages the latest PoE standard, delivering up to 90 watts of power and supporting 5G speeds. The company also offers a PoE power feeding solution for fast USB-A charging alongside a data link for USB-C devices, and a 4-port Gigabit Ethernet PoE to USB-C adapter/charger.

PoE's capabilities extend beyond just power and data delivery. An application Chen highlighted involves smart ceiling lighting control. Traditionally, these lights require separate AC to DC converters. However, PoE++, delivering up to 18 watts, eliminates this need. By connecting the PoE-powered lights to IP cameras with object detection or IPCs, the system can automatically adjust lighting based on occupancy or activity.

Another interesting application for PoE would be sensors for places such as restrooms which often lack wiring. The ceiling sensor can detect the presence of intruders or people in the area and send the information via PoE for appropriate action. These are just a few examples of how PoE can be leveraged for various innovative security scenarios.

ShineTech Electronics

ShineTech Electronics offers customers made-in-Taiwan smart security products with its in-house ShineTech range and OEM/ODM services. According to Posen Lu from Shinetech Electronics, this in-house expertise allows them to customize devices or design based on client specifications. Their current client base spans Taiwan and Japan.

This year, ShineTech featured the newest version of their weatherproof IP Wifi cameras which feature 2-way voice function (microphone and speaker). Additionally, ZigBee connectivity allows integration with various sensors, including motion detection, alarms, ultrasound detectors, and even sensors for sleep monitoring, heart rate and fall detection. This integrated approach targets applications for childcare centers and elderly care facilities, where two-way communication would be especially useful to check the situation.

Another highlight at the show is their AHD cameras, now equipped with PIR and human detection (a feature typically found in IP cameras). For enhanced security in large-scale critical areas such as commercial buildings or airports, these AHD cameras require both PIR and human detection to trigger an alarm, which reduces the likelihood of false alarms.

Klacci

Klacci, a company within the i-TEK metal manufacturing group with over 50 years of experience in access control, showcased its touchless access control solutions at Secutech Taiwan. According to Michelle Shen, Klacci's Marketing Director, these solutions address the growing demand for contactless entry in various sectors, including schools, hotels, and commercial buildings.

Klacci's system utilizes multiple sensors – hand wave motion detectors, temperature sensors, and infrared sensors – to enable touchless door entry and exit. This focus on touchless solutions reflects market feedback from building operators seeking to reduce physical contact with doors for improved efficiency and user experience. The system can also be extended to integrate with parking lot entrances/exits and elevator control systems, making it suitable for diverse applications in airports, commercial buildings, and residential complexes.

Understanding the challenge of integrating new technology with existing devices, Klacci prioritizes compatibility with third-party products, ensuring a flexible and adaptable solution for property owners and installers alike. Klacci's extensive industry experience allows them to adapt their technology and solutions to meet the unique requirements of the public, commercial, and government sectors across the globe.
